Your choice
When you first visit the site, you can accept analytics cookies or reject them. Rejecting analytics does not affect access to the website. You can change your choice at any time using .
Essential cookies
These are needed for website security, administration or to remember the choice you make in the cookie banner. They do not require consent.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
fortress_cookie_consent | Records whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies. | 6 months |
WordPress session and preference cookies, including wordpress_*, wordpress_logged_in_* and wp-settings-* | Used only when an administrator or other authorised user signs in to manage the website. | Session to 1 year, depending on the cookie |
| Security and anti-spam controls | May use strictly necessary storage or technical signals to protect forms, the website and visitors from abuse. | Only as needed for security |
Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand which pages are useful, how visitors move through the site and where we can improve it. They are not essential and are blocked until you opt in.
| Provider and cookie | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
Google Analytics 4: _ga and _ga_* | Distinguishes visitors and preserves session state for website measurement. | Up to 2 years, subject to browser limits and Google configuration |
Microsoft Clarity: _clck and _clsk | Helps us understand site visits and sessions so we can improve usability and performance. | Up to 1 year for _clck; up to 1 day for _clsk |
Microsoft services: CLID, ANONCHK, MR, MUID and SM | May be set by Microsoft when Clarity is enabled. Microsoft describes these as supporting visitor recognition, service operation and analytics. | Varies by cookie and Microsoft service |
Third-party content
Our email-security page includes a PowerDMARC domain checker, Instant Support embeds the ScreenConnect support portal, and Onboarding embeds Microsoft Forms. These services receive connection information when their content loads and process information you choose to submit. Their own privacy information also applies. Do not submit passwords through an enquiry or onboarding form.
Our delivery infrastructure includes Cloudflare, which can collect security and performance information. This is separate from the optional Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity tools controlled by the banner.
Withdrawing analytics consent
Open Cookie settings and choose Reject analytics. We stop loading optional analytics on subsequent pages and remove the accessible first-party Google Analytics and Clarity cookies. A reload stops any analytics scripts already running. Cookies on a third party’s own domain cannot be removed by this website; you can manage those through your browser.
Managing cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you delete or block cookies through their settings. Browser controls do not replace the choice available on this website and may affect how some services work. You can find general browser guidance at the ICO’s cookies information page.
